LitSIG Round Table

The IATEFL Literature Special Interest Group (LitSIG) Round Tables are interactive events that bring our community together for open, focused, and collaborative conversations about literature in English language teaching.

Unlike a traditional webinar, where a speaker’s presentation is usually the main focus, our Round Tables place dialogue and exchange at the heart of the event. Guest speakers are invited to explore a particular theme alongside participants, sharing their knowledge and perspectives while opening the conversation to the wider community.

Participants are encouraged to contribute their own experiences, questions, reflections, and ideas. This creates a dynamic space in which different voices can be heard and topics can be explored from multiple perspectives, connecting professional expertise and research with classroom practice and personal experience.

For LitSIG, Round Tables are about learning through conversation. They bring together teachers, teacher educators, researchers, writers, and other members of the ELT community in an atmosphere that values curiosity, participation, and the sharing of ideas.

Above all, our Round Tables reflect LitSIG’s commitment to building an inclusive and engaged international community. They offer a space to listen, contribute, question, reflect, and make meaningful connections through our shared interest in literature and language education.
